Great Power Announces Project of 36GWh Energy Storage Battery Production Base in Qingdao

On May 24, 2023, Great Power signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qingdao Municipal Government to jointly build a new energy storage battery production base with annual production capacity of 36GWh in Qingdao, China. The government will provide Great Power with 200,000 square meters of land for construction of the project.
The project has three phases and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of year 2024. With a total investment of 13 billion yuan, the annual production capacity of energy storage batteries will reach 36GWh. The project (Phase 1) is planned to commence construction by end of September this year and will reach an annual production capacity of 12GWh.
This project will help Great Power to further strengthen its supplying capabilities and achieve its ambition of becoming a global leading battery supplier in the area of energy storage.
